The Chamber of Manitowoc County in partnership with Lakeland University, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus and Lakeshore College are pleased to offer ADVANCED LEADERSHIP: Educate. Empower. Elevate. This exciting new program has been developed for the mid to senior-level managers, nonprofit administrators, and entrepreneurs seeking advanced leadership and communications skills to move their careers and organizations forward. Each session will be taught by instructors from the partner colleges.
LEADING A MULTI-GENERATIONAL WORKFORCE IN A HYBRID WORLD

Course Description:
Today’s workforce spans four generations, each with unique perspectives and expectations. This workshop equips leaders with strategies to bridge generational differences while navigating the challenges of hybrid and remote work. Participants will gain tools to engage, motivate, and unite teams across age groups and work environments.
Learning Outcomes:
- Recognize the values and strengths of each generation in the workplace.
- Build inclusive leadership practices that engage employees of all ages.
- Address the challenges of hybrid work across generational groups.
- Apply communication and collaboration techniques that foster trust and productivity.
Jon Swanson currently serves as the Director of Finance at Lakeshore Community Foundation, Inc. and as an adjunct instructor at Lakeshore College. Prior to these roles, he spent more than a decade in public accounting, working extensively with nonprofit organizations. With a strong foundation in accounting and financial oversight, Jon brings strategic insight, sound governance, and an unwavering commitment to fiscal responsibility.
A graduate of Central Washington University, Jon holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Business Administration, with a specialization in Finance. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, having built his career on a blend of technical expertise, collaborative leadership, and meaningful professional relationships.
Identified as a “Learner” through the CliftonStrengths assessment, Jon is guided by a passion for continuous growth and development—both personally and in those he leads. His leadership style emphasizes curiosity, mentorship, and empowerment, creating environments where teams can thrive and innovate. Jon’s combination of analytical rigor, strategic perspective, and service-oriented mindset makes him a trusted and respected partner in advancing organizational success and community impact.
