The next Business Leaders Roundtable group on Thursday, January 12 is, "HR 101", and will be presented/facilitated by Rick Balzan, Schenck SC. Here is a quick note from Rick:
Greetings!
I am really looking forward to the HR 101 meeting, and I want the program to meet your needs. At the last meeting, those present provided some areas they would like discussed. Please feel free to submit HR concerns to me prior to the meeting, or come with issues and items to discuss. Here is what we have so far, as well as some hot topics:
- Having a creative benefit structure in this changing environment – Unlimited bereavement and unlimited vacation are a few being tested/implemented. One of the best benefits is offering an “Inviting Culture”
- Recruiting – Finding the best. Don’t let that turn to finding the best of the rest.
- Termination – Communication, coaching, and documentation makes this a much better process. “Do I have a story for you!”
- What is going to happen with the FLSA, I can only guess.
