Attention all businesses, since we had a packed room last time we thought we needed to offer this again!
Are you ready for the EMV credit card mandate? Attend this free update to learn what is required. By October 2015, all U.S. retail and restaurant businesses will be required to have the proper equipment in place to accept EMV Chip Cards. This is a major change from magnetic-strip credit cards to chip-and-pin cards, which are much safer. October 2015 is a key date because liability for counterfeit transactions will be shifting. If a consumer uses a card with a magnetic stripe for a fraudulent transaction on a terminal that cannot process EMV, the liability for the fraud will rest with the merchant due to failure of the merchant to offer EMV acceptance.
