The Chamber of Manitowoc County in collaboration with Young Professionals of Manitowoc County will be hosting a CEO Panel on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 7:30-9:00am, at the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance, Manitowoc. The goal of the event is to share insights and advice from local/regional CEOs.
The panel will represent a cross section of industries and backgrounds. Panelists will share advice and insights; share stories of both success and failures; as well as impart crucial tips and tricks that helped propel them to their leadership roles.

Kris Hackbarth-Horn’s people-centric leadership philosophy is the driving force behind her approach to helping organizations steward their intentional culture and succeed in growth strategies. Starting from inside an organization, Kris fosters an inspiring and caring atmosphere where the needs of team members are considered first. She champions providing opportunity, access to resources, development coaching, and transparent communication. When the most trustworthy and inclusive environment is created, Kris believes team members feel wholistically supported and can be inspired to achieve their dreams and fulfill their purpose. Through focusing on organizational culture and its impact on people and business, Kris challenges others to think differently. Her expertise includes organizational development, career coaching, conflict resolution, change management, vision setting, and strategic planning. Prior to her current role, she has led people-centered work in manufacturing, retail, consulting, and non-profits over the last 30 years.
Sachin Shivaram is the CEO of Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, a century-old manufacturing company headquartered in Manitowoc. With a deep passion for American manufacturing, Sachin has led the company’s growth through strategic investments, acquisitions, and a commitment to workforce development. Prior to WAF, he held leadership roles at global metals companies, gaining experience in family-owned, private equity, and publicly traded environments. He serves on several boards, including the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and Broadwind Inc., and is actively involved in economic development through New North and the Governor’s Council on Workforce Investment. A strong advocate for values-based leadership, Sachin frequently speaks on ethics, strategy, and the future of manufacturing. He is committed to fostering the next generation of leaders in Northeast Wisconsin.
Teresa Van Horn is the current Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Van Horn Automotive Group. With over 45 years of experience, Teresa has contributed to a strong culture of empowered employees and customer service. She started her career in 1975; nine years after her father, Joe Van Horn founded the business. She attended the Chevrolet Dealership Management Academy in 1987, and in 1995 became the dealer principal at Joe Van Horn Chevrolet. She was co-CEO with her brother Chuck Van Horn 2014-2022. With clear vision and excellent leadership, she helped establish a health care plan and a comprehensive wellness plan for employees. She is actively involved with various community organizations, including: Plymouth Professional Business Women, Plymouth Rotary Club, St. Mary’s Springs Board, Sheboygan County Chamber Board, Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation Board, Samaritan’s Hand, Quit Qui Oc Athletic Complex and the Finance Committee at St. Mary’s Springs.
Tom Veeser
Tom is currently the VP and Chief Nursing Officer at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial. He has also served as Interim President for Manitowoc Holy Family Memorial. Since Holy Family joined Froedtert Health, he has Quality and Patient Safety oversight, aligned with Froedtert Quality and patient Safety structure. He is also part of the Froedtert Population Health Team. Key clinical committees are F&MCW System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Council, F&MCW System Quality and Safety, Inpatient Quality and Safety committee. Tom’s experience includes Chief Nursing Officer since 2002. He has held that role first as a site CNO then as a System CNO for Affinity, which merged with Ministry and ultimately with Ascension Health for Wisconsin. Tom served as Holy Family Memorial’s CNO and VP for Quality prior to their integration with Froedtert Health. He is active on state boards, Wisconsin Center for Nursing and Wisconsin Nurse association. Locally is also on the Holy Family Board of Directors and serves as President of the Felician Village Board of Directors.
