Description

The Tuppence Duo is made up of string playing sisters Heidi and Heather Barker. They are the 6th and 8th children from a big musical family and grew up making music together every day. After completing degrees in music performance and string pedagogy, they have gone on to teach in a variety of music schools and programs in the U. S. and internationally. Both Heather and Heidi have made their home in Milwaukee where they currently teach violin and viola and take every opportunity to perform together as a Duo. They are passionate about sharing the string chamber music repertoire, a treasure trove of vibrant, conversational works everyone will enjoy.
