Skana Aluminum would like to invite you to the Groundbreaking to celebrate their Furnace Expansion Project. The project will take place over the next 3-5 years and will be replacing two 1960’s era melting furnaces with three state-of-the-art 50,000 lb. capacity melt/hold/tilt furnaces with the first one in 2017.
In 2018, a new casting pit and a second furnace will be installed. The expansion will reduce energy footprint, reduce emissions and increase capacity. Manitowoc based company, A.C.E. Builder Services has been selected as the lead contractor.
Skana produces aluminum coils, sheets and circle blanks and 1000 and 3000 series alloys. Skana began in April 2010 with the purchase of assets at auction and then acquired a cold mill and slitting operation in October 2012 in Clarksburg, WV. Currently 200 employees are employed between the two locations.
