Description
Both legitimate and illegitimate prescription drug use of employees can affect business in many ways. As an owner or manager, have you thought about how your employees' medication use can impact the workplace? Being proactive can help save money and improve productivity. What steps can you take as an employer to protect your employees and the business? These questions and more will be addressed in the hour long presentation.
Meet the Speakers:
Marv Moore
Marv has been the pharmacy manager of The Medicine Shoppe for 12 years and the owner for the past 7 years. After graduating with his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2002, Marv completed a community pharmacy practice residency through the University of Iowa. Marv is a Clinical Instructor for the University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and is on the Editorial Advisory Board for Drug Topics magazine.
Since moving to Two Rivers, Marv has been actively involved in the community. He has been recognized as the Young Professional of the Year by the Chamber of Manitowoc County and as the Board Member of the Year by Two Rivers Main Street. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Manitowoc County and is the President-Elect of the Kiwanis Club of Two Rivers.
Rick Balzan
Rick has more than 20 years of experience as a human resources professional. He is skilled in areas such as training, recruitment, policy and strategy. As a human resources director, Rick provides one-on-one guidance and counsel, along with the ability to analyze and offer solutions to everyday HR challenges.
Prior to joining Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Rick worked as an independent business advisor. He also has more than 10 years of experience as a college level instructor, and has worked in the field overseeing human resources needs for an organization’s Midwest region.
