The 2015 YP Academy is focusing on bringing in the area's top professionals and CEO's to share their insight, wisdom and experience with YP's.
Session 1: "Heart & Soul Inspired Leadership"
Presented by: David Yeghiaian
Much has been written and discussed about leadership characteristics and attributes; however, David Yeghiaian will discuss leadership from a different perspective -- Heart & Soul. Learn about Heart & Soul Inspired Leadership, how it's different from "regular" leadership; and ultimately, how it can improve your leadership skills so you can positively impact others and change the world. The presentation will share numerous stories of Heart & Soul Inspired Leaders and how every individual can be a Heart & Soul Inspired Leader -- regardless of age, role, title, or fears. The stories and concepts have proven to make people deeply reflect on their personal leadership gifts and ability to make a positive difference for yourself, your organization, your family and our community. All attendees will also receive a copy of "Pieces for Profit," a business strategy book David previously authored.
With a passion to help positively impact the lives of others, David Yeghiaian (Yeg – E – I – an) focuses on achieving this goal. David is Corporate Development Director for Holy Family Memorial healthcare network where he leads business development, strategy and partnerships. He is also owner of Unique Business Solutions; a consulting firm committed to assisting people and organizations on strategy, planning and leadership development.
He has authored the business strategy book Pieces for Profit, describing how high-performing organizations maximize profitability to achieve greater success; has written hundreds of articles on strategy and leadership, and presented internationally on these and other topics.
With more than 20 plus years of experience, David has worked for global organizations, started firms as an entrepreneur and had leadership roles in other profit and non-profit organizations. He has advised large, medium and small organizations in more than 10 industries in a breadth of services related to strategic planning, leadership development, brand management, marketing, and mergers and acquisitions. David’s experience includes work with Fortune 500, non-profit, government and private organizations around the world.
Community involvement is important to David as he is involved in and supports many activities. He serves on the Rotary International District 6220 Board and was one of the youngest Rotary District Governors in the world. He is a former member of the St. John the Baptist Parish Council; as well as former Board member of: the United Way of Brown County, the Rotary Club of Green Bay, the Rotary Foundation of Green Bay, Inc., New North Inc., the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce’s Advance Board for Economic Development, and the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra.
A strong believer in continuous learning, David has been an adjunct instructor at several universities, including the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University and a Master of Arts from Concordia University.
International humanitarian work is a current passion as David traveled to India to provide polio immunizations for children in 2011; led a humanitarian service project team to Kenya and Uganda in 2012; and co-led a return team to Kenya in 2014. The projects helped with clean water, children’s health, and economic development. Since 2012, through grants and other contributions, he has helped raise more than $63,000 for humanitarian projects in Kenya and Uganda.
