Description
Join nationally-recognized Soil Health Expert and No-Till Farmer, Barry Fisher from the Central Region Soil Health Division Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Jamie Patton, Senior Outreach Specialist, NE WI Nutrient and Pest Managment Program UW-Madison, UW-Extension as they talk about the practical way forward for cover crops and soil health. Discussion Topics Include: How to get a quicker return on investment and avoid mistakes others have already made. Adaptive nutrient strategies, termination timing, weed and pest management. Understanding carbon/nitrogen cycles, pest/predator relationships and season management. Capturing Fall growing degree days and nutrients with early planted cover crops. Participants are eligible to earn 2.5 CEU's.
