State Budget Call to Action Forum
Description
Dear Chamber Member,
As most of you know, one of my goals as Executive Director of The Chamber of Manitowoc is to meet with our members on an individual basis. In doing so, I have been privy to many discussions regarding the proposed state budget. In response to these discussions, The Chamber of Manitowoc County has organized a “State Budget Call to Action Forum” being held Monday, June 1 from 11:30 to 1:30 pm at Manitowoc’s Best Western Hotel, 101 Maritime Dr.
Sharing their insight into this important issue will be Jim Buchen, Vice President of Government Relations of the Wisconsin Manufacturing Commerce (WMC), State Representative Bob Ziegelbauer, State Representative Ted Zigmunt, State Senator Joe Leibham and State Senator Alan Lasee (for additional information on the proposed budget, visit Senator Leibham’s website or WMC).
This esteemed panel will share their opinions on the impact of the pending state budget and also listen to your concerns and questions as business owners. With the effects of the recession and the rise in the unemployment rate in Manitowoc County, it is in the best interest to all business leaders in Manitowoc County to be aware of the impact of the proposed budget changes on the state’s business climate. The proposed budget will be going to vote in the near future and now is the time to take action. Your opinion matters, and our local legislatures are interested in what you have to say. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to become informed and voice your concerns.
We look forward to seeing you at the Forum. To register for the event, click on the "Register Online" link at the bottom of this invite.
Warm regards,
Karen
