Job Title: Agribusiness/Dairy Management Instructor (Full-Time)
Division: Energy, Agriculture, and Transportation
Reports To: Dean of Energy, Agriculture, and Transportation
Location: Lakeshore Technical College – Cleveland, Wisconsin

Salary Expectation: Faculty Contract Salary Schedule

Employment and Work Schedule: Contract Dates:  July-June (with ability to attend WAEC June 26-30)
New Professional Staff Orientation      
Days, nights, and weekend hours assigned based on needs of the college
Shared program instruction assignments at LTC, MPTC, and community Videoconference, on-line, and in-person instructional assignments

Responsible for placing learning first and providing educational experiences for learners in various formats, schedules, and in various places in accordance with the mission of the college inclusive of: facilitating learning, assessing student performance, as well as instruction and outcomes, developing and maintaining current/relevant course materials, and communicating with the community, other schools, the college, the division, and team members. Teaching/training in business and industry may be assigned. Provide 5 Star Service throughout all customer interactions.

Job Responsibilities
• Provide instruction in dairy and agribusiness-related programs with an emphasis on supplying trained graduates to meet the needs of local agriculture, dairy farm operations, and the agribusiness community. 
• Coordinate internships and industry site farm experiences relying on strong personal connections, collaborations, and working relationships with the local dairy farm and agriculture community.
• Provide experiential teaching and implement applied learning during labs, outdoor labs, field trips, and academic related conferences.
• Promote the agriculture, dairy, and agribusiness programming within the college and at high schools, events, conferences, and the dairy farm and agribusiness community.
• Continuously design and develop curriculum to provide its maximum educational strength within the programs.
• The successful candidate will have a strong dairy background, good connections with the dairy farm community and the agriculture/agribusiness occupational area as a whole. 
• Instructional areas may include dairy herd management, agribusiness management, sciences, and precision technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Agriculture, or related; a minimum of two years (4000 hours) recent related occupational experience in management of a dairy farm or agribusiness occupation.
• Experience with local, state, and federal agencies that deal with farming and agribusiness.
• Participation in new professional staff orientation program required.

Other Qualifications*
• Two years teaching or training experience beneficial.
• Up-to-date knowledge in precision agriculture; agricultural finance, economics, marketing and agronomy; and relevant software knowledge is beneficial.
• Dairy industry background to include experience with reproduction/heat cycles/synchronization, A.I. certification, dairy nutrition, housing, ventilation, etc.).         
• Experience with computer assisted instruction and software.
• Working knowledge of PC software in a windows environment.                                                                        
• Experience desired in delivering instruction by alternative methods such as instructional television or online.
• Possess excellent classroom delivery skills, which encourage success and participation on the part of students.
• Must be innovative and able to collaborate with other staff for developing curriculum for classroom instruction.
• Must be well motivated and have a strong interest in contributing to the success of the college.
• Positive human relations and effective written and oral communication skills essential.
• Exemplify college values in all staff and student interactions as well as services delivered.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and relate successfully with staff, students, and citizens of diverse cultural, social or educational backgrounds.
