Extended Care Aide (Part-Time)
Location: Roncalli Elementary School & Roncalli Middle School – Manitowoc, WI
Schedule: Part-Time, Day Shift
Starting Wage: $14.50-$15.50 per hour
 
Position Summary
Roncalli Catholic Schools Extended Care Aides work within our before and after school program supervising and providing programming for students before and after the school day. Ideal candidates should demonstrate commitment to faith, academics and service while being strong role models. Candidates also will promote a positive, charitable spirit and nurture the school environment.
 
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates effectively, and is committed to helping every student grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
 
Primary Responsibilities

• Check-in and out students of the program using the FACTS management system
• Supervising and interacting with children in a group setting
• Organizing activities
• Guiding positive behaviors
• Ensure a caring and safe environment
• Serve breakfast and after-school snacks to students
• Assist students with assignments and homework
• Monitor students on playground equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned to support students, teachers, and the school community.
• Keep accurate student attendance records
• Attend applicable staff training and faculty meetings
• Accurately complete all applicable paperwork
• Independently read and respond to all emails
• Navigate Google calendar to view employee schedules

Qualifications
Candidates should possess:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of related experience working with children or in an educational setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and established safety procedures.
• Effective classroom supervision and behavior management skills.
• A caring, patient approach that encourages student growth and development.
• Experience preparing classroom materials and supporting instructional activities. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs as needed throughout the school day.

Employment Requirements
The successful candidate must:

• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Be comfortable using a computer or mobile device to record work hours.
• Successfully complete a criminal background check.
• Complete and maintain Virtus Safe Environment training.
• Successfully complete a post-offer physical examination and medical history review.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting wage of $14.50-15.50 per hour
• Part-time, day shift position
• Semi-monthly payroll (paid on the 15th and last day of each month)
