Description / Scope / Mission
The purpose of the Electrical Controls Engineer is to contribute to electronic controls development for industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
- Investigate and implement the latest technologies for electrical and controls system.
- Develop standards for drawings and documentation.
- Develop and implement testing plans as required.
- Provide technical support for Sales, Manufacturing, and Service departments.

Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience
- Two to four year of experience leading complex electrical engineering projects in a team environment
- Solid background in control of industrial processes
- Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical
- Proficient with PLC and data acquisition hardware and software
- Proficient with communication protocols including Ethernet and Modbus
- Proficient with UL/CSA/ESA/CE standards**
- Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Must display ownership of project(s), including the willingness to work hands-on with assemblers in plant

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED:
- Various hand tools, welding equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PPE REQUIRED:
- Exposure to wet, humid conditions (non-weather); exposure to outdoor weather conditions up to 1/3 of the time.
- Work in Chemical manufacturing facility.
- Work in high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and exposure to vibration 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
- Work near moving mechanical parts 2/3 and more of the time.
- Medium factory noise.
- PPE as required by job.
