Job Description

Job Title: Dual Credit Manager 
Employment Classification: Full-Time Exempt Position ~ Annual Salary Base Begins at $57,364
(Note: Salary will commensurate based on education and experience.)
Reports To: Vice President of Student Services
Location: Lakeshore Technical College – Cleveland, WI

Purpose
Provide high school students more opportunities to earn college credits through dual credit agreements and help high schools enhance their curriculum.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to build and strengthen relationships with area high schools in order to assist students in reaching their educational and career goals. Help prospective students understand career pathways and the role a technical college can have to help them reach their goals. Demonstrate a willingness to work with students, parents, high school staff, and administrators. This position works closely with academic programs, admission and marketing staff to build a pathway to Lakeshore Technical College’s programs and certificates.
• Work with instruction to provide dual credit options and scheduling of Early College courses.
• Coordinate all high school dual credit contracts.
• Manage Early College, Course Options and Youth Options process and enrollments.
• Case manage Early College students to help them transition to LTC.
• Assist in the promotion and recruitment of dual-credit students including but not limited to LTC Early College, Youth Options, Course Options, and Transcripted Credit courses.
• Support external committees related to preparing students for post-secondary education such as Career Expo, Career Connections, and high school manufacturing projects.
• Coordinate high school to LTC Educational Pathways.
• Lead the Principal Advisory Council.
• Provide leadership for the Career Prep Consortium and manage Career Prep Grant.
• Lead the development of the K-12 Annual Report.
• Support external committees related to dual credit options such as Business Education Partners and McPie.
• Point of contact for high school administration in regards to dual credit.
• Coordinate High School staff Professional Development –Summer Institute, dual credit teacher orientation.
• Develop a communication plan with high schools to disseminate relevant information.
• Update the high school pages on the LTC website.
• Actively assist middle and high schools to best prepare students to transition to LTC.

Managerial Responsibilities
Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws to include: develop plan(s) and budget for department; address staff and student issues in an effective and timely manner; be an active advocate for LTC in the community; and be active in the college by serving on committees.

Qualifications/Experience*:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with three to five years recent related occupational experience required. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Candidate must be willing to work toward obtaining the DPI CTE Coordinator license.                             
• Knowledge and understanding of career and technical education.
• Good understanding of the local community and school districts.

• Ability to deal with students, parents, teachers, and guidance counselors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail; good organizational and critical thinking skills; and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Must be enthusiastic, personable, flexible, and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Provide 5 Star Customer Service throughout every interaction.
• Must possess follow-through skills and resourcefulness.
• Must have an understanding of marketing techniques.
• Ability to plan, manage projects, and organize and schedule priorities effectively to accomplish goals.
• Working knowledge of PC software in a windows environment (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite).Exemplify college values in all staff and student interactions as well as services delivered.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and relate successfully with staff, students, and citizens of diverse cultural, social or educational backgrounds.
