PROFILE
Roncalli Catholic Schools is located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and includes Roncalli Elementary School, Roncalli Middle School and Roncalli High School. The elementary school is for students in grades 3K through fourth-grade, the middle school is for students in fifth- through eighth-grade and the high school is for students ninth- through 12th-grade. JOB SUMMARY
Position Description:
The Financial Specialist keeps accurate records of the school’s financial transactions, maintains the accounts payable ledger, and answers customer questions regarding billing issues. The Financial Specialist assists the Director of Finance in monitoring accounts receivable. The Financial Specialist is also an authorized designee in the Wisconsin School Choice Program.

Job Responsibilities (may include):
•  Receive and review incoming invoices, code invoices accurately to the general or auxiliary ledger, and keep payables current.
•  Enter payments in the accounting system.
•  Prepare bank deposits.
•  Bill, collect, and verify miscellaneous student fees including hot lunch, van, graduation, yearbook, trip, and athletic participation.
•  Maintain and reconcile petty cash. Provide change to students during assigned hours.
•  Daily distribute incoming mail, post outgoing mail.
•  Reconcile bank statements.
•  Perform duties within the Wisconsin School Choice Program, including receiving and verifying documentation and communicating with applicants.
•  Assist the Director of Finance in preparing materials for GAAP and DPI audits.
•  Assist office personnel as needed.
•  Perform other accounting or miscellaneous duties as assigned or requested by administration.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Associate degree preferred in accounting or finance field with one to two years of experience in accounting or finance-related field. High school diploma required.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Computer processing skills, general accounting, and bookkeeping training, record keeping practices and training, or related job experience of greater than two years in a similar position.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately, including percentages, fractions, decimals, and simple mathematical formulae.
• Ability to solve practical problems and follow written, verbal, or other instructions with several concrete variables.
• Attention to detail and the ability to organize complex information neatly and accurately.
• Ability to communicate ideas, and receive and process information from others.
• Ability to learn a systematic approach to accounting and to follow the approach without direction to maintain the integrity of the financial data of the agency.
• Ability to operate computer equipment, business equipment, and other general office equipment.
• Requires the ability to talk, to express, and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to clients and others accurately and quickly.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform light physical work, 80 percent sedentary in nature, exerting up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force periodically.
• Activities include repetitive keyboard work, grasping, lifting, shifting of paper, reaching, bending, stooping, and crouching.

Schedule:
● Primarily day shift (7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.)
● Monday to Friday
● Occasional support for evening and/or weekend events

Work Remotely: Position is primarily on site. Remote work equipment will be provided if/when needed.

Employment Terms:
● Pass background check.
● Obtain and stay current with Virtus training.
● Position under at-will agreement.
● Wages are paid semi-monthly, on the 15th and last days of the month.
