Job Description
Reports To: WILM Chief Information Officer
Employment Classification: Support Staff Non Exempt ~ $26.46 per hour
Location:  Lakeshore Technical College • Cleveland Campus
Employment & Work Schedule: 38.75 hours per week x 52 weeks; Monday - Friday
Flexible day/evening/weekend hours based upon needs of the WILM Consortium
(Wisconsin Indianhead, Lakeshore, and Mid-State Technical Colleges)
Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, maintenance, and security of the network hardware and software, and related infrastructure, within the WILM Data Center. Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Serve as the WILM Cyber-Security Liaison for the member colleges. Provide backup support to the Systems Administrator. Occasional travel to other two colleges.
Job Description
• Serve as the WILM Cyber-Security Liaison for the three colleges. Responsible for ensuring that the three colleges IT Network Administrators have the knowledge of any potential threats that could affect the network. 
• Actively protect IT assets and infrastructure from external or internal threats. Review all threats and suggests appropriate security programs.
• Monitor systems, logs and network traffic for any anomalies, attempted unauthorized access or other intrusions while maintaining latest patches and updates.
• Install, configure, support, and maintain network servers, appliances, and system hardware and software to ensure network security.
• Establish and maintain user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security.
• Install, configure, support and maintain network connectivity and data transport for the WILM local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
• Provide internet and intranet user support and specialized training.
• Maintain network and user documentation including hardware/software applications, support logs and other related information.
• Assist in the management of the maintenance contract agreements and applications software licenses. 
• Collect and analyze network bandwidth to optimize network for WILM assets.
• Communicate standards for the use, operations and security of the WILM network.
• Research and recommend the purchase of new products, technologies, and services related to networking and network security.
• Help devise network strategies, test systems and develop system standards.
• Assist WILM Team Leads in developing project plans, annual initiatives, and patch/fix schedule.
• Evaluate, analyze and present new tools and technologies to the WILM Chief Information Officer and the WILM Team Leads. 
• Identify networking and network security initiatives and standards. Prioritize initiatives.
• Manage and maintain the WILM Disaster Recovery plan and Incident Response plan.

• Associate’s degree in an IT discipline required. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field preferred. Degrees must be from an accredited college/university.
• Three to five years of occupational experience as network administrator preferred.
• Experience in LAN/WAN, network design and administration; Windows network operating system; SQL Server preferred.
• Thorough understanding of network and server fundamentals including services, topologies, and security concepts preferred.
• Strong knowledge of network communications (TCP/IP, multilayer devices, network addressing, VLAN’s, routing, and Internet) preferred.
• Strong understanding of Virtual infrastructure, servers, Virtual Center, Server Blades, Windows server installation, configuration and troubleshooting preferred.
• Experience installing, configuring and maintaining firewalls, IPSec/SSL VPN tunnels, IPS, and SIEM required.
• Security+ or similar certification desired.
• Must have strong project management and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Exemplify college values in all staff and student interactions, as well as services delivered.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and relate successfully with staff, students, and citizens of diverse cultural, social or educational backgrounds.
• Fluent, bilingual individual is desirable.
