Historical Society to hold All Hallow’s Eve

Join the Manitowoc County Historical Society for a spooky, sometimes scary, event as we celebrate the legends that were brought to Wisconsin and the folklore we created here at home. “All Hallow’s Eve”, will held Saturday, October 13 from 1 to 4 pm at the Manitowoc County Historical Society’s Pinecrest Historical Village (924 Pinecrest Road, Manitowoc).

Pinecrest’s historic buildings will have costumed interpreters bringing to life fall and Halloween traditions that were popular around the year 1900.  Hands-on activities, crafts, and games will be held throughout the Village. Visitors are encouraged to dress in costume and “trick or treat”. A bake sale and hot beverages will be available and proceeds will support the Society’s youth education programs.

During the program, visitors can also take part in a new experience in conjunction with the Wisconsin Science Festival. This experience will allow visitors, elementary students and homeschoolers the opportunity to explore science and learn how it connects to Wisconsin’s history. Students can work individually and together to explore science, technology, engineering and math concepts and overcome some sort of challenge. They will touch and interact with different objects from the past and take part in hands-on activities.

Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children. MCHS members receive free admission. All Hallow's Eve is made possible by A.C.E. Building Service, Inc. The Manitowoc County Historical Society/Pinecrest Historical Village is located three miles west of I-43 off CTH JJ in Manitowoc at 924 Pinecrest Road, Manitowoc.  For more information, please contact the Manitowoc County Historical Society at (920) 684-4445.  Event information can also be found at ManitowocCountyHistory.org.
