Lakeshore College Awarded $1.7M in Grants

CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore College has been awarded $1.7 million in grants from the Wisconsin Technical College System.

Grant funds will be used to expand Lakeshore’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning installation program and maintenance mechanic program. In addition, funding will support purchasing equipment for Lakeshore’s recently renovated and expanded Community Dental Clinic to support a new dental hygiene program launching in fall 2026.

Funds will also support more high school students taking dual credit courses. During the 2023-24 academic year, Lakeshore saw 1,827 high school students earn college credits, saving families $835,000 in tuition.

“We continue to be successful in securing grant funding. These $1.7 million in funds will directly benefit our students by providing new opportunities and resources to support their success,” said Lakeshore College President Dr. Paul Carlsen.
