Great Decisions Lecture Series, April 2, 6:00 PM
A bonus Great Decision! Due to a postponement caused by inclement weather, the Great Decisions lecture series will be extending into April. On April 2nd, Beth Dougherty, PhD, Beloit College, will present a lecture on “Turkey: A Partner in Crisis,” followed by a community discussion on the topic. Balkansky Community Room.
 
Lakeshore Grief Support, Monday, April 2, 6:00 PM-7:30 PM. Lakeshore Grief Support Programs is a non-profit volunteer organization of people who are trained and committed to helping all people of all walks of life through the difficult journey of grief.  We are not professional counselors, but we are people who believe that the support we can give each other when going through loss of a loved one is powerful and healing. Franklin Street Room.
 
Lakeshore Memory Café, Wednesday, April 4, 10:00 AM-11:30 AM. Lakeshore Memory Café provides a comfortable and non-judgmental environment in which persons with dementia, their families and their caregivers can interact and enjoy the company of others experiencing similar challenges. National Library Week, April 8-14. Manitowoc Public Library and Lester Public Library have partnered with local businesses to provide our communities with some great deals! Show ANY library card from the 8th to the 14th and awesome deals at participating businesses in Manitowoc, Two Rivers and Mishicot. Gardening 101 with David Ellison: A Sow & Grow Event, Thursday, April 19, 6:00 PM-7:00 PM. MPL’s Sow & Grow was created to encourage people to try vegetable gardening. We provide the seeds and the knowledge and you share your gardening stories with others. Registration and Sow & Grow Kit pick up kicks off on April 19th at the Service Desk.
