Great Decisions 2021, Mondays at 6:00 PM
Manitowoc Public Library is proud to present Great Decisions 2021, our fourteenth year of hosting this preeminent eight-week grassroots lecture series. In 2021, in response to the inability to convene large public gatherings, MPL decided to go completely virtual with the Great Decisions program, livestreaming it on both our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/manitowoclibrary) and YouTube channel. This year, anyone with a thirst for knowledge and an internet connection will have the opportunity to discover, discuss and decide how to meet some of the world’s greatest challenges head-on, every Monday evening in March at 6 PM. Great Decisions will take viewers beyond the headlines with essential background information, relevant facts, ever-shifting policy options and impartial analysis.

The lecture schedule is as follows:

Let’s Talk About Books: A Book Discussion for Adults Via Zoom, Tuesday, March 16, 11:00 AM
Manitowoc Public Library’s online book discussion for adults is back in March and this time out, we’re going back to focusing on a single title: “Nothing to See Here,” by Kevin Wilson, a novel that revolves around an exploration of friendship, trust, and twins that spontaneously combust when they get agitated! The discussion will convene via Zoom on Tuesday, March 16, at 11:00 AM. Registration is required and opens up on March 1 on the “Events” calendar at www.manitowoclibrary.org. Only ten spots will be available (with a Waiting List should people decide not to participate)! Place a hold on the book, pick it up in-library or Curbside, or check into an e-reader version. Looking forward to seeing you on Zoom! You will be sent the link for the Zoom meeting, along with the discussion questions close to March 16th. Any questions, please contact Therese at thorstketter@manitowoc.org or call 920-686-3044. Time to get back to talking books!
