Manitowoc, WI, March 18, 2021—Manitowoc Public Library’s Teen Services April 2021 programming is scheduled with the following events and dates:
Awful Art Contest, Every Day through April 15
Gone are the days of feeling the pressure to make good art. Now is the time to make bad art on purpose! Think Picasso meets “Sharknado!” Or Monet meets “Plan 9 from Outer Space.” It’s the awful artistic expression equivalent of watching a bad movie—painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, or whatever way you decide to express yourself creatively. Email a picture of your appalling artwork to until 11:59 PM on April 15. Visit for all the details. DISCLAIMER: This contest is intended strictly for lighthearted fun!
Teen Activity Bags & Books (TAB)                                Grab & Go Kits (ongoing)
Looking for an activity to keep your Teen from being bored? MPL is here to help! Each month, we’ll be offering a Teen Activity Bag & Book—we supply the materials for them to have fun at home! And now, each bag comes with a Young Adult book hand-picked by your Friendly Neighborhood Teen Associate! Check back for a new TAB each month! Register online via or by phone at 920-686-3010. If calling, you must speak to a live staff member to reserve your kit. Voicemails and emails will not be honored due to the popularity of this program. Limit 2 TABs per Family.
            Starlight, star bright, what beautiful stars you’ll paint tonight! Katie from Glaze & Paint is back with a forest night sky canvas painting kit. As an added bonus, the Library will also be checking out surprise YA novels with an art theme with every kit for you to enjoy.
