Manitowoc, WI, January 20, 2021—Manitowoc Public Library’s Teen Services December programming is scheduled with the following events and dates:
 
Winter Read-a-Thon, January 31-March 6 (ongoing)
Beat the winter blahs with books! ALL AGES are invited to join our Winter-Read-a-Thon! Kids, Teens, and Adults can read or be read to a total of 10 hours over our 5 week program to earn a fabulous prize and celebrate reading! Register online at www.manitowoclibrary.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack Tracker App! Prefer Paper? Call 920-686-3010 to pick up a paper reading tracker via Curbside Pickup! New this year: BONUS BADGES! Earn our bonus badges by diversifying your reading choices. Each optional badge you complete will get you a raffle ticket to enter into our Cozy Bundle giveaway!
 
Teen Activity Bags & Books (TAB)                                Grab & Go Kits (ongoing)
Looking for an activity to keep your Teen from being bored? MPL is here to help! Each month, we’ll be offering a Teen Activity Bag & Book—we supply the materials for them to have fun at home! And now, each bag comes with a Young Adult book hand-picked by your Friendly Neighborhood Teen Associate! Check back for a new TAB each month! Register online via manitowoclibrary.org/fab or by phone at 920-686-3010. If calling, you must speak to a live staff member to reserve your kit. Voicemails and emails will not be honored due to the popularity of this program. Limit 2 TABs per Family.
 
  • UNICORN FELTING KIT: REGISTRATION OPENS FEBRUARY 17 @ 5:00 PM
Need a little magic in your day? Add some color to any gray winter day with our Unicorn Felting kits! Destress and have fun learning how to create your own fluffy unicorn—we provide all the materials, you provide the creativity! As an added bonus, the library will also be checking out surprise Fantasy books with every kit for you to enjoy. Tune in to watch a livestream felting tutorial on Friday, February 26 @ 4 PM on MPL’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/manitowooclibrary) or on our YouTube channel.
