Nichter Joins Shady Lane Board

MANITOWOC, WI – Monica Nichter has joined the Shady Lane, Inc. Senior Living Ser-vices Board of Directors according to Todd Meerdink, Shady Lane’s CEO. “Monica brings us extensive healthcare experience in a variety of areas,” noted Meerdink. “Our board is comprised of community leaders who are sensitive to the needs of our community,” he noted.

The Director of Revenue Integrity and Payor Contracting for Holy Family Hospital, Nichter has worked for Network Health Plan and Affinity Health System. She is a Uni-versity of Oshkosh graduate with a B.S. Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is active in the Manitowoc community where she has lived for the past four years including being a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club and is past-president of Sigma Theda Thau, Nursing Honor Society.

Established in 1951, Shady Lane is Manitowoc’s only non-profit, citizen-directed care center. This year Laurel Grove opened a new thirty-six-unit assisted living residence comprised of two neighborhoods, one a secure memory care unit. In addition to Laurel Grove Assisted Living, Shady Lane has two other levels of care. Rehab at Shady Lane is a separate unit designed exclusively for short-term rehabilitation with appro-priate therapies. Shady Lane Nursing Care Center provides skilled care and offers only private rooms and suites at competitive prices.
