The event will take place Saturday, February 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., offering hands-on educational activities alongside opportunities to meet and interact with piglets. For the sixth consecutive year, Peter Family Show Pigs from Howards Grove, a long-time partner of Farm Wisconsin, will bring a lively litter of piglets. Attendees will have the opportunity to pet and play with the piglets while learning from these swine experts about the award-winning pigs and the care it takes to raise them. Beyond the piglet encounters, the event will feature a variety of interactive swine-focused activities. Visitors can test their knowledge in a swine breed matching activity, estimate how much a piglet eats, and practice proper piglet care with Lakeshore College’s newest pig farrowing simulator. Special guests including the 78th Alice in Dairyland, Sarah Hagenow, and experts from the Wisconsin Pork Association will be on site leading additional hands-on activities. At 10:00 a.m., young attendees can also enjoy a pig-themed story time. The Wisconsin Café will be open during the event, offering a special meal-deal option: a choice of pulled pork sandwich or Newton Meats hot dog, each served with a choice of chips and a drink. Breakfast and lunch will also be available from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All Piglet Day activities are included in the cost of general admission to Farm Wisconsin. Tickets may be purchased online in advance or at the reception desk on the day of the event.
