Wisconsin Builders Association presents awards to local builders

Wisconsin Builders Association presents Brandon Bartow of Bartow Builders with Builder of the Year Award.

(Milwaukee, WI) January 27, 2017 – The Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) announced its 2016 Builder of the Year recipient as Brandon Bartow of Bartow Builders at a recent awards dinner.
The Builder of the Year award is the highest honor a builder member can obtain.  Only one award is given each year, and nominees are judged on their professionalism as well as their activity within the WBA, National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and their own community.
Bartow has been a dedicated member of Manitowoc County Home Builders Association (MCHBA) since 2001, serving on the Board of Directors, and as President. He also is very active in the WBA, serving as President in 2014.  In addition, he has served on the WBA Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Local Officers Council, Local Presidents, Development Council and is the past Chair of the WBA Advocacy Group.  He currently serves on the NAHB Board of Directors.
Bartow is a participant in the Manitowoc County Youth Apprenticeship Program and supports many local organizations.  He has been recognized by the Chamber of Commerce and others for his continuous commitment to the community and business growth.
“Brandon has been a key leader with the Wisconsin Builders Association on a wide range of issues over a long period of time,” said Brad Boycks, WBA Executive Director.  “It was an honor to have Brandon receive the WBA Builder of the Year honor and we look forward to his leadership for many years to come.”
Bartow is honored to have been given this recognition and is looking forward to continued valuable relationships with members and involvement in the WBA, NAHB, and MCHBA.
Mike Howe of Mike Howe Builders was presented with the Rising Star Award at the awards dinner. 
The Rising Star Award recognizes an outstanding individual within the membership of the Wisconsin Builders Association who has actively worked toward the betterment of the housing industry by exceeding expectations over the last twelve months and who is considered to be rising within the organization.
Howe has been a member of MCHBA since 2006, has served on the Board of Directors, and as President in 2013.  He has been on the WBA Board of Directors since 2012.  Since that time, he has been a member of the Building Industry Council, served as a member of the WBA Strategic Planning Sub Committee, and the Chair of the Advocacy Group.
Locally, Howe is the elected Alderman for District 1 in the City of Manitowoc, on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Manitowoc County, and the Legislative Committee for The Chamber of Manitowoc County.  He gives his time and resources to many other charitable organizations and community projects.
