(Manitowoc, WI) – Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (WAF), a leader in aluminum and copper-based alloy castings, announced today the acquisition of Anderson Global, a premier North American aluminum foundry tooling manufacturer, based in Muskegon, Michigan.
The acquisition reflects WAF’s continued optimism for the aluminum foundry industry in North America and expands WAF’s capabilities in tooling, casting, and machining across a variety of industrial sectors.
“We are thrilled to welcome Anderson Global to the WAF family,” said WAF CEO Sachin Shivaram. “John and Betsy McIntyre have built a world-class business that stands as the gold standard for tooling in our industry. This acquisition not only strengthens our internal capabilities, but also ensures Anderson Global will continue to support foundries across North America as an independent and trusted partner. We look forward to investing in the people, technology, and equipment that will enable Anderson Global to thrive for decades to come.”
Founded more than 40 years ago by John and Betsy McIntyre, Anderson Global has become the premier North American aluminum foundry toolmaker, with over 50 journeymen machinists, a deep bench of world-class engineering talent, and advanced machining assets to produce complex and high-precision tooling.
“As we looked to the future of Anderson Global, it was important to us to find a partner that understands our industry and shares our values,” said John and Betsy McIntyre, co-owners of Anderson Global. “Given our long-standing partnership with WAF, they were the natural choice. We are excited to see Anderson Global continue to grow and serve all of its customers with the added support and resources WAF brings.”
Anderson Global will continue to operate as a standalone subsidiary within WAF’s portfolio, maintaining the agility, expertise, and customer service excellence that have defined its success. All 80 team members will continue their employment under WAF’s ownership. “Anderson Global has an amazing team delivering excellence across the organization,” Sachin said. “Our goal is to grow by continuing to deliver the highest quality tooling in the industry and by supporting the broader resurgence of American manufacturing.”
